2018_Student Waiver_Trial_Class please bring signed and witnessed waiver to our: Bring a Friend to Dance Starting Next Week
OSA dancers are invited to bring a friend to dance week the following dates.
The friend will be invited to participate in some aspects of the class.
We will still be practicing our recital dances this week. The friend would watch during this time. This week is also an opportunity for your own child to trial another type of dance class s/he may be interested in joining.
Please do not bring a friend to the class if s/he is not capable of joining in, i.e. beginner dancer to an inter class or an pre-inter to senior levels.
Should you referral join OSA by September 30, 2018, you will receive a 5% discount off of the annual dance tuition.
Bring a Friend Week: Monday, May 28th – Thursday, May 31st, 2018

Photo purchase is optional, some photos are included in recital slideshow
No dance classes at held at either location on these dates.

Recital Lipsticks $12 payment, please pay for and pick up at photos, if you have not already done so.
Finale Call Times to be confirmed – choreography determines call times and this is in process.
2018 Recital Volunteers are all set. Thank you to all the mom who stepped up!!
Parent volunteers are required to supervise Finale, Dress, Recital events.

ONLINE REGISTRATION OSA offers online registration. Please register yourself through the website links. This convenient and secure tool will enable you to monitor your account, register for classes, purchase OSA apparel, etc.
PARTICIPATION WAIVER: Our insurance company requires all participants to have a digitally signed consent Participation Waiver on file. Please access your online account through the Studio Director software and indicate your agreement. Thank you.
TUITION: If you have not already done so, postdated cheques for the dance year are now due. Please submit at your next dance lesson. If you pre-registered in the Spring, but did not submit your postdated cheques, the pre-registration tuition discount no longer applies.
REFERRAL DISCOUNT: Referral discounts are valid until the end of the month. Should a friend sign up by September 30th 2018, a refund on your tuition will be applied.
Please advise the office of any referrals you have made so you can be properly credited.
BALLET CHARACTER SKIRTS: Dancers in Grades One and upwards require character skirts. Please purchase a skirt at City Dancewear with our studio colours #288-3060 or other dancewear supplier.
ABSENCES: Please leave a message on the office if you are going to miss a class. We’ll do our best to inform the teacher before the class. Competition class dancers are not to miss more than 4 dances throughout the dance year; otherwise they may lose their competition performance privileges.
ALLERGIES: Parents, please ensure you have informed the office and your child’s teacher of any allergies your child has.
DANCER’S GROOMING: Please attend your dance class in appropriate dance attire with hair worn in a tidy fashion. All acro dancers and ballet students in upper grades three and four onwards are to wear a classical bun to every dance class. Please leave your valuable jewelry and technology at home. Cell phones must be turned off during class. Teens!
LABEL DANCEWEAR: Please mark all your dance apparel; especially footwear.

Costume Week November 19th- 22nd, 2018
Parents, please attend the beginning of your child’s dance class during the week noted above. Please come prepared with a notebook, CHEQUEBOOK, and measuring tape.
Costumes for the year-end recital and dance competitions will be discussed and ordered at this time. It would be very helpful if you could please measure your child in advance: bust, waist, hips, vertical trunk/girth (circumference of torso), outseam and inseam. Costumes must be paid for and ordered at this time in order that they can be delivered in time for performances! NO POST-DATED CHEQUES!

All OSA Dancers are invited to please wear their P.J’s to dance this week!
VIEWING WEEK: December 10th-13th, 2018
Parents are invited to attend our annual viewing week. Please arrive punctually and be prepared to participate; especially parents of the younger dancer. Please remove your wet footwear.

The 2019 Dance Competition Season is about to begin. Dates noted below.

3. April 28-29th (S&U) Gravity Dance Challenge at Martha Cohen

Performance schedules to be released as they become available. All OSA dancers please feel welcome to attend any of the below noted dance competitions. This is an excellent opportunity for recital only dancers to learn about extra performance opportunities available through local dance competitions and festivals.
OSA Finale T-shirts: This year’s colour is ______. Order forms will be sent out in April. Shirt purchase is mandatory.
Recital Order 2019: Held Saturday, June 15th.
There will be one finale, one dress rehearsal and one recital show.
Recital updates: Would you like to volunteer? Volunteers are required from every dance class; with the exception of the senior dancers.
